NC House Bill 171

Synopsis: Prohibits state agencies from practicing DEI in policy-making, hiring, etc. State or local government officers or employees who continue to practice DEI will face civil penalties up to the loss of their job. Additionally, no state funds will be allocated for programs, initiatives, or schools that use DEI.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is one of the most racist, inequitable, non-inclusive practices in the world.

Scenario: You own a construction company, and need another roofer. You have three applicants:

- Applicant 1 graduated from a local trade school.

- Applicant 2 used to own a business flipping houses.

- Applicant 3 lacks a meaningful resume.

You'd hire the first applicant, but the applicant is a Caucasian man. There's too many Caucasians already on payroll.

Applicant 2 is a black woman, except she's straight, and you have too many straight people on payroll.

That leaves you with Applicant 3, who needs a wheelchair. You hire Applicant 3 because no one else on payroll is disabled. Applicant 3, of course, can't go on roofs and nail shingles in a wheelchair but you need to keep them on payroll for the DEI hiring policy.

Does this scenaro seem fair? It's not to Applicant 1, where the fact he was too white and a male disqualified him. It's not fair to Applicant 2, who was disqualified because she's not attracted to other women. It's not fair to Applicant 3, who cannot even perform the job.

DEI is the antithesis to merit and capability. DEI hires by the skin color, gender, sexual orientation, etc - Anything except on if the individual is the best person for the job.
